![]() When we went out at night the cab rides everywhere were pretty cheap and pretty short in duration. We did, however, have a car, so it made getting around easier. ![]() I was originally apprehensive about staying at a hotel off the strip, but we really didn't have a problem with the location. Bag of Doritos = $6 (everything seem to be double what I pay back home, but hey it’s Vegas!). Onsite necessities store, to buy almost anything, sodas = $2.50. The Penn and Teller theatre is awesome as is the show. This place seemed really busy, but I always found a slot machine to play and we never waited more than 5 minutes for an elevator. Drinks will kill you, a double whiskey and coke = $15. ![]() Or eat in the on site restaurants for $15+. They deliver Pizza Hut to the room for $20, bucket of 3 beers $10. Nice spacious rooms for $65 per night! Its off strip, but we caught the FREE shuttle in every day and never waiting more than 15 minutes! Our room was quiet. The check in line was 20 minutes, but as we explored other hotels we noticed that every hotel had long check in lines. I stay at a lot of Hamptons, Hiltons and Holiday inns, and I would put the quality of this hotel in between a newer Hampton and a newer Hilton. Great staff, there was always someone around to help. The Rio is big as is everything in Vegas.
